Biography

Christopher Peters is a research associate at Louisiana State University's Center for Energy Studies. Mr. Peters assists the Center in its mission to provide the State of Louisiana with objective analysis of energy developments at all levels. His work focuses primarily on the application of quantitative methods to answer research questions.
Mr. Peters' past projects include analyses of oil and gas well drilling, commodity trading, and oil and gas well abandonment. His current projects include three economic impact studies: two related to Louisiana's offshore oil and gas industry and one on greenhouse gas emissions in Louisiana.
Mr. Peters holds a B.S. degree in economics with a concentration in empirical economic analysis from Louisiana State University. His research interests involve the application of economic impact analysis, econometrics, and other quantitative methods to the study of energy economics. He is a member of the U.S. and International Associations for Energy Economics.
