Biography

Brian Snyder is a research associate at the Center for Energy Studies. His research interests include climate change policy, carbon neutral and carbon negative energy, the ecological impacts of energy production, and ecological economics. Mr. Snyder is currently studying the costs, benefits, and regulatory structure of the potential development of an offshore wind power industry in the U.S. Mr. Snyder came to the Center in May of 2008 from the University of Georgia where he is finishing his Ph.D. in ecology. His dissertation focuses on the use of pyrolysis as a means of carbon sequestration.
