Biography

Lauren Lee Stuart is a research associate at Louisiana State University's Center for Energy Studies. Ms. Stuart works on emission assessments and renewable energy policy. She also represents CES with energy related projects on-campus and city-wide including the LSU Sustainability Initiative Energy Management Committee, the LSU Bus Taskforce, and the Baton Rouge Clean Air Coalition.
Ms. Stuart’s primary project is the state-sponsored Greenhouse Gas Emissions Inventory. Specifically, this includes quantifying fossil fuel combustion emissions as well as identifying the economic impact of an emission reduction policy. She also assists with the organization of the annual CES Alternative Energy conference.
Ms. Stuart holds a B.A. in economics with a focus on international environment and development from Louisiana State University. Her research interests involve transportation, sustainable development, and energy/environment/economy correlations. She is a member of the U.S. and International Association for Energy Economics.
