The LSU Center for Energy Studies is organizing a two-day conference entitled Energy Summit
2004: Securing Louisiana's Economic Growth in a Volatile Energy Environment. The Energy
Summit will cover a wide range of energy issues and how they relate to Louisiana's economic
development. Energy Summit 2004 is being co-sponsored by the Gordon and Mary Cain
Department of Chemical Engineering. The Governor of Louisiana, Kathleen B. Blanco, has
been invited to present a welcoming address.
Paul Ziff, CEO of Ziff Energy Group will be our keynote speaker and will provide his insights into the major trends and issues in today's rapidly changing energy markets. Energy Summit 2004 is anticipated to cover a variety of topics including:
